“Albanian Businesses Weeks 2014; I consume local products, do you?” will conclude its one month journey in Linz, Austria on November 28th. The event organized by the joint collaboration of the Kosovo Alliance of Businesses and the Albanian Council of Agribusiness held from October 15 to November 28 in different cities of Albania, Kosovo, Montenegro, Turkey, Slovenia, Macedonia and Austria.
The head of the Albanian Council of Agribusinesses, Enver Ferizaj, declared: “This activity was held to promote Albanian products in countries where live and work Albanians. We aim to expand our bio products’ market in the region and to boost exports.” Ferizaj also called all Albanians that live in European countries to invest in Albania, since the country has so many unexploited sources and opportunities. The presentation of Albanian bio products ceremony was attended by the head of Linz commune, more than 300 experts from different fields and about 30 thousand Albanian citizens that live in Austria. In turn, the head of the Kosovo Alliance of Businesses, Agim Shahini, evaluated the important role the Albanian Diaspora has played in the promotion of Albanian products, by adding that this ceremony is aimed at highlighting the Albanian values not only in doing business, but also for its traditional food and products.
Even Prime Minister Edi Rama hailed the initiative and showed optimism for the increase of Austrian investments in Albania. We support Diaspora’s initiatives since it has always shown availability to collaborate in the orientation of capital towards their native land, added Rama.
Rama had a meeting with the vise Assembly Speaker of the Austrian parliament Karlheinz Kopf and several Austrian business representatives. They estimated the latest reforms undertaken by the government as very efficient and announced that in 2015 about 10 Austrian businesses delegations will come to Albania to see for investment opportunities.
