The USA ambassador to Albania Alexander Arvizu had a visit in the northern city of Puka where attended several activities in the framework of the 70th anniversary of the city’s liberation.
“I am excited to be here in Puka city because I feel like I’m home. Thank you for the hospitality. Puka is a wonderful place and it is my pleasure to be here. The northern Albania is unique. I have visited Shkodra and Kukes before and I promised myself to visit Puka city before I leave Albania. You live in such a wonderful place and your hospitality will always remain in my memory,” said USA ambassador, Alexander Arvizu.
Arvizu participated in homage to city’s Martyrs Cemetery, held the opening speech in the Health Fair and hailed the work done by the Ministry of Health and Peace Corps Volunteers for the organization of this fair. The ambassador evaluated the natural panorama of Puka which has great tourism opportunities and urged the citizens of Puka to protect the environment.
During his visit, the ambassador was accompanied by the deputy of Kukes county Mark Frroku, the head of Puka Municipality Beqir Arifi, directors of local institutions, veterans and citizens. The USA ambassador also visited Puka Municipality headquarters and received by the head of the municipality the Key of Puka.
