Top Channel TV has published a report on the increase of taxes for 2015, as issued in the fiscal package of Budget 2015. According to the article, there will be a considerable increase of taxes and Albanian families will have to pay more than in 2014.
Personal incomes tax will increase from 10% to 15%. The personal incomes include incomes that persons take from the dividend, incomes from leased properties, incomes from interests of bank deposits, incomes from the copyright and incomes from intellectual property. The Albanian government will allocate $50 ml more in the budget by the increase of this tax, compared to the current amount of money allocated by personal incomes tax.
The government has predicted the increase of circulation tax which is paid in the final price of hydrocarbons. The current circulation tax is 17ALL/liter but starting in January, this tax will increase to 27 ALL/liter, so Albanian citizens will pay $67 ml more in 2015.
The third mayor change in the taxation system relates to the tax of used vehicles. This tax is currently calculated based on the motorist power of the vehicle, the production year and the type of hydrocarbon used by it. But, according to the Ministry of Finances, this formula will not be applied anymore and the new tax for used vehicles will be no less than 10.000 ALL/year.
The increase of these taxes means that the Albanian citizens will have to pay $163ml more taxes in 2015, compared to 2014.
