The refunding scheme taken by the Albanian government during 2014 in support to garment industry businesses is showing positive results, since the start of its implementation on April. Minister of Economic Development, Trade and Entrepreneurship Arben Ahmetaj, visited “Naber Confession”, one of the refunded businesses by the governmental scheme.
The heads of the company said to Minister Ahmetaj that the funding package has been a great support to them. In the four last years our obligations towards government were continually growing, said a representative of the company, due to lack of reimbursement, but now the situation has improved.
In turn, the Minister Ahmetaj expressed its satisfaction seeing the positive results of the refunding package for garment industry businesses. “Naber Confession has employed lately 98 employees, with the help of the governmental support scheme. It’s a great pleasure to hear that our governmental policies for businesses are being implemented successfully,” stated Ahmetaj. Naber Confession is an Albanian-German export association with 15 years of activity in Albania. The company is specialized in producing textile and clothing which are exported to Germany.
According to a survey compiled by the Albanian Investment and Development Agency, 250 businesses in this sector have increased the number of their employees by opening new vacancies during 2014.
