Business Insider has published a list of top touristic countries to visit in the next 10 years, and Albania is one of the 50 touristic countries. Albania is ranked the 42th in the list of top 50 touristic destinations for the 10 years to come, described as a potential touristic country of stunning highlands, undamaged castles and fortress and also unspoiled beaches with crystal waters.
Based on an analysis issued by World Travel and Tourism Council, well-known touristic cities as Paris or New York will not be the preferred destinations for tourism in the upcoming years due to the high prices, city noises and bad restaurants.
The study highlights the fact that tourists seek to visit places they have never been before and not very known touristic destinations. The study was compiled based on the contribute that the GDP of each country will have in the improvement tourism sector for the 2014-2020 period.
According to the Business Insider article, in 1990 after the fall of communism Albania was not prepared to welcome foreign tourists, but now more than 20 years of being a democratic state, the country provides great potentials in the tourism sector. In the top of the list, Business Insider has ranked many African countries, considered as untouched destinations by tourists.
