TIRANA, August 6
The Direct route between Tirana and Memmingen in Bavaria was inaugurated this week. The non-stop service is operated twice a week on Wednesdays and Sundays by Hungarian airline Wizz Air.
The inaugural ceremony took place at Tirana International Airport (TIA) with the traditional water salute.
Tickets are available for online booking at the airline’s website. Wizz Air operates another direct service from Tirana to Dortmund since October 2018, and two direct lines to Budapest and London.
Memmingen Airport also is known as Allgau Airport Memmingen, is an international airport in the town of Memmingerberg, in the Swabia region. It is situated about 115 km west of Munich.
The new service to Memmingen will boost convenient connectivity to and through the German city. On the other hand, it will help to open up Albania as a business and leisure tourism destination in the German market.
