TIRANA, May 16
The Ministry of Internal Affairs of Albania signed the ‘Protocol of Cooperation’ with the Center for Integrity in the Defense Sector of Kingdom of Norway (CIDS). The protocol was signed by the Deputy Minister Romina Kuko in a ceremony organized in Budva, under the framework of the regional conference that marked the start of the formal application of the Agreement of the Norwegian Grant for the Construction and Integrity, in the Western Balkans.
The Grant supports the Ministries of Internal Affairs of Albania, Kosovo, and Montenegro, also the Defense Ministries of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Kosovo and Montenegro for the capacity building in the fields of the integrity and anti-corruption.
The cooperation fields under the framework of this grant include: the cooperation and assistance delivery in the sphere of the human resources, public procuration, systems of organizing and management, capacity building in the general direction of the Ministry, based in professionalism and inclusiveness and respecting the gender equality, strengthening the mechanisms for the promotion of integrity and reducing exposure to corruption.
