TIRANA, March 15
A group of Belgian entrepreneurs will visit Albania and explore investment opportunities in different sectors in the country. This was confirmed by the ambassador of Belgium to Sofia, which is responsible for Albania, Francois Bontemps in a meeting with the chairman of the Chamber of commerce and Industry in Tirana, Nikolin Jaka.
Ambassador Bontemps said that Albania along with Kosovo, North Macedonia, and Bulgaria are under the jurisdiction of the Embassy of Belgium to Sofia.
Moreover, the ambassador highlighted that there is a considerable number of Belgian companies present in Bulgaria and in North Macedonia, but not in Albania.
Thus, in his role as the person responsible also for the economic relations, the ambassador said that he will promote relationships between sides.
Further on, he mentioned, that a Belgian club of 15 members is interested in visiting Albania during May.
They represent different sectors such as textile, workwear and textile flooring, construction, and infrastructure. Bontemps pointed out that this is the first visit of Belgian entrepreneurs to Albania.
