Albania and Romania will strengthen cooperation in the sectors of energy, agribusiness, tourism, and construction. The Albanian and Romanian Chambers of Commerce and Industry discussed cooperation opportunities in a forum organized in the Albanian capital. Chairwoman of the Albanian Union of Chambers of Commerce and Industry Ines Mucostepa said that the chambers of both countries should help to promote cooperation and coordination of their agendas.
Based on official statistics, there are 62 Romanian companies registered in Albania, but there is much to be done given the huge potential of cooperation
βAlbania is an attracting country for foreign investors, thanks to macroeconomic stability and structural reforms that provide an adequate environment for foreign capital,β Mucostepa said.
Head of the Romanian delegation Gabriela Mihaela Voicila, called on the representatives of businesses from both countries to focus on reciprocal trade relationships.
On his part, Romanian lawmaker Remus Borza highlighted the need for a direct flight route in order to boost connection and tourism between Albania and Romania.
