TIRANA, September 10
The progress of total investments in the Albanian economy reflected a positive trend during the first quarter Q1 of the year as the rate rose by 5.4 percent. This is closer to the historic average of the last two years, the Bank of Albania (BoA) confirmed.
Based on the BoA’s evaluation the investment rate hike was noticed in both the public sector and in the business gross capital formation. According to indirect indicators, the private investment growth during Q1 was supported by the contribution of investments in machinery and equipment.
Moreover, there is a group of factors that support the growth of private investments by businesses that include: the growth of the customer confidence index above the average level; improved capacity utilization in manufacturing operations; increased final demand for goods and services.
