TIRANA, June 28
Artisanal products made by people living in mountainous areas will be represented by ‘Zemra e Malit’ (the heart of the mountain) logo. Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development Niko Peleshi and Head of the European Union Delegation to Albania Romana Vlahutin announced a contest for the new logo for all the products made in mountainous areas. They held a meeting with the women of Qelza in Puka that are members of the association for the production of agricultural goods.
The new logo will serve as a new instrument. It will help to identify the origin of goods from the Albanian mountains and to increase their presence in the market. The logo will also contribute to the economic empowerment of women in rural areas. The deadline for those that want to participate in the logo design competition is July 15th.
