TIRANA, May 22
Renewable energy, public infrastructure works, agritourism are some of the sectors that will benefit from 18 new projects in Tepelena area. The projects were unveiled for the local inhabitants of Tepelena and nearby villages on Tuesday by the city mayor Termet Peci and Prime Minister, Edi Rama. The projects that aim at improving the life quality of the people living in the area as well as to promote its tourism potential include the construction of a water supply network, the construction of internal streets and entrances of Tepelena Castle. Other projects will focus on the reconstruction of schools, the construction of Tepelena bypass and the reconstruction of Ali Pasha Tepelena house.
One of the most important investments consists of a wind farm for the production of electric power in Majkosh area with an estimated value of Lek 15 million.
Another project consists of investments in Benca Regional Tourism Park, in Kurvelesh area. The projects aim at supporting agro-tourism development, a potential sector in the area. In the meantime, a resort will be constructed in Uji i Ftohte area. This is one of the most important investments in the area and it is expected to create considerable jobs for the local inhabitants.
