TIRANA, March 13
Small manufacturing workshops that produce traditional goods and products will receive support from the agriculture funding scheme up to 50 percent. Application for grants have started on February 28 and will end on March 28.
The support scheme also defines funds for all those that are interested in making traditional products. Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development Niko Peleshi explained during a meeting with farmers in Libonik village, Korca, how the scheme works for small workshops and factories.
βEvery person interested in producing traditional products in the traditional way will receive support 50 percent of the investment value workshops that cost up to Lek 1 million, and 50 percent for the value of traditional equipment and machinery that cost no more than Lek 500,000,β Peleshi said.
Moreover, he added that women will be given priority. The national scheme for agriculture support foresees Euro 20 million funding for the agriculture sector and rural development.
Farmers can apply until March 28 in 36 regional points including Agropika and agriculture offices.
