TIRANA, February 19
Albania and Italy are exploring cooperation opportunities in several sectors of the economy. Therefore, over 350 representatives of Italian institutions, entities, associations, banks, and 200 Italian enterprises are currently attending Albania-Italy Business Forum that is taking place in Tirana. The forum aims at strengthening economic and politic relations and discovering the investment opportunities that the Albanian market offers. Seminars focused on the instrument of financing programs for the region concerning the following three main sectors, infrastructure that includes tourism, hospitals, schools, transport, etc. The two other sectors are energy and green tech and the food processing industry.
The forum will continue with B2B meetings between the representatives of 200 Italian companies with Albanian companies in order to discuss possibilities of potential cooperation. Previously, the Ambassador of Italy to Albania, Alberto Cutillo said that this forum is part of an important initiative, Missione di Sistema launched by the Italian government that aims the internationalization of Italian companies. Ambassador Cutillo added that this process will offer excellent opportunities for investments and support in Albania.
Italy is one of the most important trade and strategic partners of Albania. Yet in terms of foreign investments, Greece, Canada, Switzerland, and the Netherlands rank better than Italy.
