Minister of Economic Development, Trade and Entrepreneurship Arben Ahmetaj had an official visit in Hungary and met with important potential investors.
According to a press release of the Ministry of Economic Development, Trade and Entrepreneurship, Ahmetaj met with representatives of important Hungarian businesses as MVM Ovit National Power Line Company Ltd, and discussed about future plans in investing in Albania’s hydrocarbon sector. He declared that “Albpetrol company is one of the most important state assets, and it may be given with joing venture or by privatization. It’s an important sector and provides many opportunities, especially after the final implementation of TAP project in Albania.”
Minister Arben Ahmetaj highlighted the welcoming business climate that Albania provides for foreign investors, by showing as well Albania’s interest for investments in the further development of industry. The representatives of Hungarian businesses showed their interest in the further cooperation with Albania. During afternoon, Minister Ahmetaj held meetings with OTP Bank representatives, a well known and serious bank in Hungary, which has expressed its interest to invest in the Albanian market.
After meeting with Hungarian deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade Peter Szijjarto, Ahmetaj didn’t forget to thank Hungary in the name of Albanian government for the support to Albania in winning the EU candidate status.
