A new free trade zone that is planned to be created in Tirana will have a direct impact on the development of the city and on economic growth. This was declared by Mayor of the capital city Erion Veliaj during Tirana Business Matching, an international B2B event organized by the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Tirana.
The free trade area of Kashar village will facilitate entrepreneurship and create new jobs and it will be developed in an area of 60 hectares.
“I know that for many businesses that have decided to transfer to Albania, enlargement and property negotiations are a headache. I believe that with the legal dispositions that will allow the municipality to be an operator of free trade areas, we will soon apply for Kashar area,” Veliaj said during the event.
Tirana Business Matching gathered representatives of 250 companies, some 150 of them international enterprises from Italy, Turkey, Belgium, Greece, Denmark, Kosovo, Spain, Switzerland, Macedonia, etc. The purpose of the event was to promote investment and to create a good climate of networking.
The wide participation of investors in the event will have a positive impact on the image of Albania and the Balkans in general.
