TIRANA, July 11
Albanian citizens that live and work in Macedonia and Macedonian businessmen based in Albania are going to benefit from the pension agreement, which was signed on Monday in Tirana. Albanian Minister of Social Welfare and Youth Blendi Klosi and his Macedonian counterpart Dime Spasov held an official meeting, during which they signed the agreement on the recognition of the pension rights.
Minister Klosi stressed that there are hundreds of Albanians that are currently working in Macedonia while dozens of Macedonian entrepreneurs have opened their companies in Albania. Moreover, Klosi added that this initiative is going to pave the way for further developments and exchanges in the joint labour market.
On his part, Minister Spasov highlighted the importance of the agreement and said that it will help to strengthen communication and cooperation for the creation of a regional labour market.
Both minister also agreed to boost cooperation in the sector of vocational education. Albanian high-school and university students from Macedonia will have the chance to pursue their studies in Albanian schools. Klosi and Spasov also discussed seasonal employment for the citizens of both countries.
