The Albanian National Territorial Council (NTC) adopted the plans that will finally put an end to informality, pave the way to foreign investments and most of all assuring them of the safety of their investment. The National General Plan, the Coastal Cross-sectoral Plan and Tirana–Durres Economic Area were unveiled on Tuesday by Minister of Urban Development Eglantina Gjermeni. She highlighted that the adoption of the three plans came after the conclusion of the consultation process with each of the state institutions part of the Inter-Ministerial Committee for the drafting of National General Plan.
Gjermeni highlighted that it took two years and a lot of hard work for finalizing this process.
“This can be considered an historical process. The national plans consist of all the documents on strategical planning for the future of Albania,” Gjermeni said.
She also added that the plans will lead the economic and social development of Albania for the next 15 years. Moreover, they will help to turn it into a competitive country as well as tourism destination.
On his part, Deputy Prime Minister Niko Peleshi said that the adoption of the national plans is crucial part of the government’s vision on presenting projects and funds that support the economic growth of Albania.
