The Bank of Albania said on a latest report that the amount of lending increased by ALL 300 million during April, although private banks are not feeling secure yet to increase the amount of lending to businesses and individuals.
However, banks are giving more loans to businesses rather than individuals, according to the report. Lending to individuals decreased slightly in April, while in annual terms it has increased by only 0.5%.
The Bank of Albania says is committed to create stimulating monetary policies in order to boost and increase lending to the economy. Although with a slight increase in annual terms, lending and the economic growth indicators show positive trends.
