Albania and France will enhance the collaboration in the agriculture, livestock and fishing sectors. On May 12th the Albanian Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development, Edmond Panariti, held a meeting with the French Ambassador to Tirana, Bernard Fitoussi, to discuss collaboration opportunities between the two countries in the agriculture field.
The two officials talked about the certification of Made in Albania products by specialized French institutions in order to sell them in the international markets. ย France will give support in the certification of goat cheese, olive oil and wines. As for the livestock sector, Albania needs to modernize farm flocks located in Korca district.
Regarding a possible collaboration in the fishing sector, the two officials discussed the establishment of a fishery school which will provide trainings for fishers and promote the balanced exploiting of fish reserves in the Albanian waters.
