A report published on Monday, April 11, 2016 by the Albanian Institute of Statistics says country’s economy increased by 2.61% in 2015, in comparison to 2014.
The Gross Domestic Product rose 2.61% during the past year and the industries that contributed in the increase of the GDP are the construction sector (increased by 1.54 points of percentage), hotels, restaurants and transport sector (0.71 points of percentage) while the public administration, health and education sectors contributed by 0.36 points of percentage.
Real estate and the electrical energy sectors contributed negatively in the last year’s GDP by respectively -0.56 and – 0.38 points of percentage while net taxes on products also contributed negatively by -0.31 points of percentage. Other sectors which had a negative performance were the agriculture and fishing sectors and also the insurance sector.
