On March 24th, a group of Turkish businessmen headed by the President of the Turkish Council of Business, Mehmet Uslu, were hosted in a meeting by the Albanian Minister of Economic Development, Tourism and Entrepreneurship, Milva Ekonomi.
Representatives of 8 Turkish businesses which operate in different sectors discussed investment opportunities in Albania with the Minister of Economic Development, the Director of the Albanian Investment and Development Agency, Genti Beqiri and representatives of Albanian businesses.
Turkey was ranked Albania’s second trade partner for 2015, given that trade between Albania and Turkey comprised 7.4% of Albania’s total trade with other countries.
According to the press release issued by the Ministry, the focus of the discussion was the increase of Turkish businesses’ presence in Albania and the further promotion of the economic relations between the two countries.
Turkish exports to Albania (ALL 43, 707 million) dominated the amount of Albanian products (ALL 6, 943 million) exported in Turkish markets in 2015.
