Bank of Albania has released a report on the performance the inflation rate will register during the upcoming year, foreseeing that inflation rate will be approximately 2.3%, lower than Bank’s objective to have an inflation rate of 3%.
Experts say the inflation rate is due to fluctuate within the two upcoming years as a result of production rate negative gap and the low prices in the international markets. However, these phenomena will continue to be present for a short term period, according to the report.
According to the official figures published by the Institute of Statistics, during the period of September – November 2015 the inflation rate has remained almost unchanged. On September the inflation rate was 2.2% while on November it decreased slightly to 2.1%.
Bank of Albania experts say that the inflation rate will increase within the two next years and in 2018 is predicted to be about 3%.
