Albanian textile exports are flourishing since it is noticed an increase in exports during the first month of this year. According to the official data published by INSTAT (Albanian Institute of Statistics), textile exports and their products, increased by 29percent on an annual basis in the January-April period during 2014, compared to the same period of last year. Italian market remains one of the main contributors to the increase of Albanian exports.
During the first months of this year, the percentage of Albanian exports in Italy increased with 18percent and a surprising increase to 52percent in Greece, since the Albanian exports in this country decreased since 2008. Meanwhile, exports with the destination Germany increased by 25 percent and also in Poland, a new destination for Albanian textile exports.
According to INSTAT, Italian companies are abandoning China and Middle East markets and are making a return to Albanian partners.
