The Albanian Minister of Finances Shkelqim Cani has presented at the Albanian Parliament the draft budget for 2016, stressing three main characteristics of it. The preliminary presentation of the draft budget was made during the meeting of the Heads of Parliamentary Groups and was followed by discussions between the government and opposition MPs. According to Cani, this will be the budget of the regional development, the deepening of reforms and the decrease of the debt and taxes.
One of the three main characteristics of the new budget is that there will be no increase of taxes but a reduction of them for traders, a measure that will encourage the increase of employment and the reduction of poverty.
Secondly, added Cani, this budget gives a huge importance to projects that aim to increase the welfare of Albanian citizens and supports sectors as agriculture and forestry. This draft budget, declared Cani, will increase the competences, the funds and the services for the local units in order to transform it into a source of opportunities for citizens.
