The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development is supporting the sector of small and medium enterprises in Albania by a fund of EUR 2 ml. On December 2014, the EBRD launched a EUR 2 ml program for SMEs to assist them by offering professional consulting sessions to them. Through this program, 25 SMEs have received support in this regard and the project aims to help 120 SMEs in overall.
The program provides necessary information for small and medium sized enterprises related to the most efficient manners in developing and improving their products and services, in order to become more competitive and increase their revenues. The program engages local and international consultants.
During this week, the EBRD, the EU presence in Albania and the Ministry of Economic Development will organize an activity dedicated to SMEs with the theme “Business Networking”. Among other attendants, present in the event will be the head of EBRD office in Albania, Christoph Denk.
Since its first presence in Albania in 1996, the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development has launched several supporting projects for SMEs in the country by assisting more than 400 SMEs by offering them professional business consulting.
