Farmers from Albania, Macedonia and Serbia participated in the first B-REDI training program during September 30th – October 2nd, a program that provided trainings and assistance to 15 Albanian farmers and others from the region, and certification of agricultural products based on the EU certification standards.
The program was organized by USAID and offered assistance to farmers to improve their production procedures and the most beneficiary manners to increase exports. The second phase of this program will be the meeting of farmers with auditing experts and private consultants for the certification of Global GAP systems in Albania. Global GAP’s main objective is the increase of food security and this certification system aims to connect farmers and traders in order to provide more safe products to consumers.
The implementing companies of the participating countries in this program are cooperating in order to increase food safety in Albania, Macedonia and Serbia.
