The German government-owned development bank KfW Bankengruppe and the European Union will give a loan worth 26,2 million Euro for the construction of 70 new water supply plants in rural areas throughout Albania.
The investment comes in the framework of the “Rural Water Supply III” project and will be implemented by the Albanian Development Fund, a governmental body dedicated to the development of rural areas.
All the Albanian municipalities are eligible to apply online for funds by submitting projects and the loan will be distributed to the winning projects. The application process will be managed by “Posch & Partners”, a consulting company contracted by the Albanian Development Fund.
The implementation of this project will improve the water supply networks for 75, 000 citizens located in rural areas of the country.
