The Albanian government has announced the international auction for three first hydrocarbon blocks that will be given with concession to private companies. The Minister of Energy and Industry, Damian Gjiknuri announced the beginning of the procedures for Hydrocarbon Agreements for oil and gas exploitation in seven zones defined by the National Agency of Natural Resources.
The map of the free blocks of hydrocarbons in the territory of Albania will be published in the National Agency of Natural Resources website along with the application form for all the interested companies for 4, 5 and Dumre blocks. While for Joni-5, Rodoni, Panaja and Block C, the deadline for submitting the proposals will be June 25th.
In the framework of the Regulation for the approval procedures of hydrocarbons agreements, for license-agreements and the set deadlines, the NANR has established a team work which will negotiate and evaluate the sent proposals. The process for the seven free zones for oil and gas exploitation and production, will be opened and transparent for all and the winners must meet all the set criteria.
