Albania and Austrian Agency for Development signed an agreement on December 12 of 2014, for the improvement of water supply and sewerage system in country.
This agreement was discussed at the Economy Commission on Monday by the Deputy Minister of Transports and Infrastructure, Ylli Manjani, according to which, there are 181 water supply and sewerage enterprises in communes and the territorial reform will make possible the increase of management level of them. The stocktaking of objects that these enterprises posses is very important, declared Manjani.
The 4.2 ml euro agreement reached between the Albanian government and the Austrian Agency of Development will improve the technical assistance of water supply and sewerage system, which is expected to improve the life conditions for the Albanian citizens. “The territorial reform will help in the well management of these enterprises,” declared the Deputy Minister.
The fund of the agreement will be used for the technical assistance for the General Directory of water supply system and its main aim is to improve the life conditions for Albanian citizens, by ensuring a permanent water supply and an improved sewerage system in country.
