The Minister of Agriculture Edmond Panariti has announced that 13 farmers signed the first contracts on the framework of SARED grant program, financed by the Danish government and implemented in Albania by the German Embassy.
SARED will offer in total an amount of EUR 13.1 million for farmers and agro processors in remote rural areas of the country with the aim to boost the agricultural development in these areas. The Minister declared that “this funding scheme is faster and allows us to finalize in a short time important projects in the agricultural sector”.
The first signed 13 contracts worth EUR 270.000 was allocated in the form of grants to farmers for the milk processing and livestock, among other projects.
SARED Grant Facility is a new Danish-German program which will give grants to Albanian agro businessmen has been launched by the German Embassy in a special ceremony with the participation of the Minister of Agriculture Edmond Panariti, the Denmark ambassador to Tirana, Mats Sandau-Jensen, representatives of businesses in the agriculture sectors, experts and media.
