The Albanian Authority of Electronic and Postal Communications will open the tender for 4G Wireless service in the telecommunication market in country.
Pursuant to the AEPC Directing Board’s decision number 2495, this institution has approved the finalization of the public consultation on the use of frequencies band GSM 900/1800 and for the use of frequencies from 1800 MHz band for systems such as GSM/LTE/UMTS/WiMAX. This has helped in creating the opportunity to input 4G technology in Albania.
The representative of AEPC Pirro Xhixho, currently running for Executive Council member at AEPC, presented at the meeting of Parliamentary Commission for Production, Trade and Environment Activities the current situation of 3G services in country, a service offered to three communication operators in the market.
